Keep Things Lively With Leopard Artwork

The leopard is truly one of nature's most beautiful creatures, and they are depicted in leopard paintings that will compliment almost any décor, traditional, rustic, or modern.  Artwork ranges from a woven throw that hangs on the wall or lays over the couch, an oil painting to hang over the mantel, or a series of photos in lovely frames.  Retailers that specialize in artwork and in home furnishings understand that the naturally beautiful, earthy tones of the leopard can brighten the room in any house, apartment, or condo.

The Ron Kimball Leopard Art Print Poster at amazon.com is a  photographed portrait of a leopard in the jungle.  Ears perked, eyes alert, this animal looks as playful as he does dangerous.  It would be a beautiful piece to frame and hang on your wall in your studio apartment or simply tack up in your dorm room.  It sells for $.99.

A proud, stately portrait of a single leopard is the subject of Sitting Leopard by Singh.  Matted and framed, this beautiful piece will stand alone as easily as it will work with an African theme.  The measurement of the outside of the rustic wood frame is 24.1 inches by 18.2 inches.  Use this as a focal piece to offset any of your other decorating ideas that will incorporate the contemporary colors and feel of this painting.  It is available  at sears.com for $89.95.

Simply titled “Leopard,” this sketch print measures 12 inches by 12 inches square around the outside  of the brown patterned frame.  It would look great in a cluster of other art and complimentary accessories on your condo wall or as a single piece in your studio or den.  It is item number 15244855A  at art.com where it is priced at $10.99.  Of course, the best way to display this piece will differ from home to home.

For something a little different, consider the piece by Adam Kadmos, also titled, “Leopard.”  This is piece is almost abstract in its presentation.  It depicts a rudimentary tree with a wide trunk in varying tones of brown and sepia, with a single silhouette of a leopard in one of the branches.  This piece is 24 inches high and 16 inches wide, and is sold at overstock.com for $39.99.  It is a gallery wrapped canvas piece that is suitable for hanging upon arrival.

All eyes will be drawn to the Stained Glass Style Leopard.  The view is of the leopard's face, hand painted on glass, framed in wood and hanging from a silk ribbon.  The cat is primarily gold with his signature black and brown spots, on a background of clear glass frames.  This piece is sold at artfire.com for $30.00.

Ideal for a dorm room, den, or family room, the Tapestry Throw Blanket is a piece that depicts varying shades of brown and gold and is covered in leopard spots. The edges are covered in a shag fringe.  It measures 53 by 70 inches, and is loom woven, with no synthetic fibers.  Prices on products like these vary widely.  This throw is sold at art-and-home.net for $49.99.
